New Boat Owner Resources (North America)

CONGRATULATIONS ON PURCHASING A WASZP AND WELCOME TO THE SWARM!

We are excited that you have decided to purchase a WASZP and join the Swarm of 2,000+  boats currently flying worldwide. By purchasing a WASZP, not only have you bought the best one-design dinghy foiler  on the market; you have become a part of a unique, vibrant and community-orientated Class with sailors from  all around the world.

Here are some first steps in the form of a checklist to get you started.

  1. Check out our Rigging Guide for extensive resources on assembling your boat whether new out of the box or previously foiled and partially assembled.  Perhaps especially if it is partially assembled we would encourage you to take things apart and understand them as you rig your WASZP.  You can also find endless videos on YouTube from our sailors demonstrating particular portions with expert advice.

  2. Claim your boat!  Sign in to KA Sail and claim ownership of your WASZP so that you can be updated on upcoming events or updates.  This is also where you can find detailed, behind the firewall, folders of upgrade options, repair techniques and many other valuable documents.

  3. Most of the news and updates in North America comes from FOILFAST, the North American distributor.  Make sure you have signed up for their email updates.  This will trigger a series of emails to you with Class information and a follow up from our North American Class Manager at the end.

  4. Look at upcoming events and register on RaceHub, our custom and official event site.  All of our regattas will be posted here and this is also where you can track your Global Ranking Points, progress on the North American Triple Crown each year and also see how you are performing against other sailors in your country, continent, rig type or gender.  This is also where you can apply for Class Membership which is required for all events.

  5. Scroll through all of the most recent News Updates from the Class and FOILFAST on our pages to see what you have missed!

  6. Check out and connect with coaching opportunities.  You can bring your own boat or charter one at these events and level up your skills to prepare for our next big regattas.

If you have any feedback that can assist us in improving our offering, we would love to hear from you.  And Welcome To The Swarm!  - The WASZP Team.
