The 2026 season is shaping up to be the most exciting year the WASZP Class has ever seen in North America. With the Winter Base in Jensen Beach, the WASZP Games coming to Pensacola, a full national pathway for Youth, Collegiate, Adult and Masters sailors, and the Triple Crown points race expanding across the continent, the year ahead brings more opportunity, structure and support than ever before.
To help sailors stay organized, here is a complete checklist covering every major step you should take as you begin planning your 2026 season.
Apply for the 2026 Race Teams
Applications for all 2026 Race Teams are open now at waszpraceteam.com. Sailors can apply at any time and the Class will follow up with placement guidance.
The Race Teams are owned and managed by WeCANFoil and USFoil, with the North American Class setting the structure and selection framework. These teams connect committed sailors with national coaching, consistent training cycles and peers who share their competitive goals.

Sign Up for the Winter Base in Jensen Beach
The Winter Base in Jensen Beach runs through January and February and is the official start of the 2026 season. Sailors train in warm, reliable foiling conditions with structured coaching blocks and open sailing windows that align with the Race Team calendar.

Register for the High School and College Qualifiers
One of the most important items on your checklist is registering for your 2026 High School or College Qualifier. These events contribute to advancement within school programs and placement on major national stages.
Registration is open now and many regions will fill quickly. Review the calendar, finalize your dates with your school or coach and complete your entry early. Charters will be available at most events, ensuring broad access for sailors who do not have a travel boat.

Review the 2026 Class Calendar and Register for Key Events
The 2026 Class Calendar delivers a complete season of racing and training opportunities across North America. Start in Florida at the Winter Base, move to Pensacola for the WASZP Games, continue north to Halifax for the North Americans, return to New England for the Americas Championship, then head west to British Columbia and California before finishing with the US Nationals in Hawaii and the Orange Bowl in Miami.
